Process Flow of Geotextile Production Line
Raw material preparation
The main raw materials for geotextiles are polyester (PET) or polypropylene (PP) fibers. These fibers undergo processes such as drying, mixing, and melting before being prepared for the spinning process.
Spinning
Molten polyester or polypropylene is extruded into fibers through the spinneret of a spinning machine. The fibers form a preliminary structure during the cooling process and undergo stretching to increase their strength.
Web formation
The spun fibers are laid into a web by a web laying machine. There are two types of mesh forming methods: dry mesh forming and wet mesh forming. The former is suitable for non-woven geotextiles, while the latter is suitable for woven geotextiles.
Reinforcement
The fiber mesh after forming is reinforced by needle punching or hot rolling process. The needling process uses the needle plate of the needling machine to repeatedly pierce the fiber web, causing the fibers to entangle with each other and form a stable structure; The hot rolling process uses the high-temperature rollers of a hot rolling mill to press the fiber web together.
Post treatment
