Description
Introduction
Carbon Fiber Mesh is a mesh material made of carbon fiber filaments or carbon fiber tapes woven or laid in a certain arrangement. It has extremely high tensile strength and low density. It is used as a reinforcing skeleton for composite materials in the fields of aerospace, automobile manufacturing, sports equipment, etc.
Advantages
1. Extremely high tensile strength
Carbon fiber mesh X uses carbon fiber filaments with strength grades of T700 or T800, and its tensile strength can reach 4900 MPa to 5500 MPa, which is several times higher than the tensile strength of ordinary steel bars (about 400~600 MPa). This high-strength characteristic can effectively enhance the bearing capacity of the reinforced structure, while improving its crack resistance and seismic resistance. It is especially suitable for reinforcement projects of old structures that need to improve ductility and overall stability.
2. Lightweight and high modulus
The density of carbon fiber is about 1.8 g/cm³, which is only one-fourth of that of steel. In reinforcement applications, this lightweight characteristic helps to reduce the deadweight of the structure and avoid the risks caused by secondary loads. At the same time, the elastic modulus of carbon fiber is between 230 GPa and 300 GPa, and it has good rigid support capabilities, making it reliable in enhancing structural stiffness.
3. Good corrosion resistance
Carbon fiber itself has stable chemical properties and can withstand corrosive environments such as acidic, alkaline and salt spray. After 1000 hours of salt spray testing, its mechanical properties remain basically unchanged, indicating that it can still be used stably for a long time in coastal areas, high humidity environments, chemical plants and other conditions. This feature reduces the cost of later maintenance and extends the service life of the structure.
4. Strong construction flexibility
The grid design of carbon fiber mesh X is diverse, with common specifications including 10×10 mm and 20×20 mm, and the thickness is controlled between 0.2~0.5 mm, which is suitable for different reinforcement scenarios. The material can be cut, fitted or wrapped according to actual engineering needs to adapt to the surface of complex components, such as beam-column intersections, curved structures, etc.
