Description
Introduction
Carbon Fiber 1K refers to carbon fiber yarn containing 1,000 individual carbon fiber filaments (fiber bundles). The "K" in "1K" here stands for "thousand", which means 1,000 fiber filaments. 1K yarn is thinner than common thick yarns such as 3K and 6K, and is used in the manufacture of high-performance composite materials, such as aerospace, automobile racing, sports equipment, electronic products and other fields.
Advantages
High Strength and High Modulus
The single fiber strength of our carbon fiber 1K is usually over 4000 MPa, which is significantly higher than the strength range of traditional steel (about 400 to 2000 MPa). In addition, the elastic modulus of carbon fiber can reach 230 GPa, which ensures that the material has good rigidity and deformation resistance when subjected to force.
Lightweight characteristics
The density of carbon fiber is about 1.75 to 1.95 grams per cubic centimeter, which is only about a quarter of the density of steel (about 7.85 grams per cubic centimeter). Due to the lightweight of the material itself, the use of carbon fiber 1K can significantly reduce the weight of the overall structure, thereby improving the energy efficiency of the product.
Fiber fineness and consistency
"1K" means that each bundle of carbon fiber contains 1000 filaments, and the diameter of the filaments is generally between 5 and 7 microns. Thinner fiber bundles help to evenly lay the composite layer, enhance the resin's impregnation effect on the fiber, and ultimately improve the surface flatness and uniformity of the mechanical properties of the composite material.
Chemical resistance and thermal stability
Carbon fiber can withstand continuous operating temperatures of up to 300 degrees Celsius, and some special models are even higher. In addition, it shows high tolerance to a variety of corrosive chemicals such as acids, alkalis and organic solvents. These properties ensure the service life and stable performance of carbon fiber products under various environmental conditions.
