
1. Working face: The flatness of the slope surface is related to the success or failure of grass planting protection in the geocell. The uneven surface of the slope is prone to stress concentration when laying geogrid cells, which can cause cracking of the grid welding points and cause cell stepping. Therefore, it is necessary to level the slope surface to the design requirements, and use manual slope repair to remove floating stones, dangerous stones, etc. on the slope surface.
2. The slope of the paving compartment should be equipped with a main drainage ditch system, with a distance of 4m between adjacent ditches. The drainage ditch should be connected to the highway side ditch, so that the road surface water flows into the drainage channel along the side ditch and enters the edge of the highway to prevent the road surface water from scouring the compartment slope protection.
3. Perform top leveling treatment on the slope surface, remove any debris that is not conducive to grid laying, and keep the slope surface flat and sturdy. Alternatively, sprinkle a layer of good soil first to facilitate plant growth.
4. The cell should be laid from top to bottom in the main force direction, so that the cell sheet material is perpendicular to the highway roadbed. Do not lay horizontally.
5. Fully open the cell components and nail a hook shaped rivet pile into each cell at the top. The length of the rivet pile should be twice the height of the cell itself plus 30cm, or U-shaped steel bars should be used for anchoring to ensure overall stress.
6. After the cell is opened and riveted tightly, fill the cell space from top to bottom with high-quality soil suitable for planting turf or grass seeds. The filling should be 1.2 times the cell height, and the cell should be firmly tapped and planted with vegetation in a timely manner.
7. When used on the lower slope of a highway, the drainage ditch should be connected to the shoulder drainage ditch structure to facilitate the drainage of water on the road surface and not scour the slope protection. When used on the upper slope of a highway, a drainage ditch should be set up on the top line of the upper slope to prevent the accumulated water from flowing into the drainage ditch at the high altitude of the upper slope, avoiding the direct erosion of the slope protection by the accumulated water. The upper slope should try to use a high height geotextile cell.
8. After the construction is completed, a re inspection work should be carried out, and if the tension is not sufficient and the top rivet pile is not strong, it should be reworked in a timely manner until the grass or grass seeds are completely formed.
