Construction Method Of Geomembrane
Apr 24, 2026

Geomembrane is a waterproof and barrier material based on high polymer materials. Geomembrane should not be dragged or pulled hard during transportation to avoid sharp objects stabbing. Many people are not very familiar with the construction methods of geomembranes. Let's take a specific look below:
1. Firstly, we should extend from the bottom to the high position and be careful not to pull too tightly. We should leave a margin of 1.50% for later local sinking and stretching. Of course, it still depends on the specific usage requirements of our construction site before deciding.
2. The longitudinal joints of two adjacent frames should not be staggered by more than 1m on the same horizontal line.
3. The longitudinal joint of the geomembrane should be located at a distance of more than 1.50m from the dam foot and bend foot, and should be laid on a flat surface.
4. When laying the geomembrane, we adopt a method of starting from the slope and then the bottom of the site.
5. When laying the slope, the direction of film spreading should be basically parallel to the larger slope line.
The above is an introduction to the construction methods of geomembranes. If you encounter any problems during the actual laying construction process, you can consult us.
